   A bit of California in Colorado is a product line of fine redwood slab tables for all areas of the home or business. Originally created for the Colorado western interior, all pieces are sanded and oiled to reflect the natural grain and color of this exquisite wood. Conversion varnish, or catalylized lacquer, in sheens from satin to gloss may be applied upon request. The burl slabs featured below are 5" thick, measure 18"x84, and have been used as lamp or back tables, mantels, or are used to form the wooden base structure of coffee or dining tables. With a granite or metal base, these thick, relatively narrow slabs are incredible tops for back, side tables, and benches.

We started with 16 carefully chosen slabs, and felt each one required a different base and look.  The slab pictured above is an example of this design ideal. The base of the resulting table below is made from bent cherry, wenge, and cocobolo. This complete table is deceptively large at 23W x 62L x 19H.

  My lovely wife, Liana is standing next to this ten foot slab. It is intended for a dining room table and will use the cherry, cocobolo, and pau ferro base pictured below.
